Election posters are tied to every available lamppost announcing one of the 50 something parties and why you should vote for them…including a last minute canvas effort from the president to garner as many ANC votes as possible…with promises of jobs, water relief, working public services..and the list goes on. Let’s hope that every vote counts and the democratic republic will be renewed on May 8. I am grateful for the freedom of voting for democratic governance…and I pray that democracy will reform the current dire government with an ethical election campaign.
