Spent the day in Chicago learning all things safety in freezing cold water…God willing, I will not have to practice my new knowledge. It was pretty awesome to learn new safety techniques, and how to put on an immersion suit in a hurry along with righting an overturned life raft, and climbing in…rather like a beached whale…among other things. It was good to have a complete change of scenery, and to grow, once again, beyond my comfort zone!
