“What good is the warmth of summer, without the cold of winter to give it sweetness.” ― John Steinbeck, Travels with Charley: In Search of America
I keep reminding myself when I am out walking like the Michelin man in the freezing cold, that I won’t enjoy the warmth of summer as much if I don’t experience the cold. There is also beauty in the different seasons, the starkness of bare branches, the dark contrasts at sunsets in winter. Grateful that have winters to experience different seasons, also grateful for a warm home to go back to.
