“Wow, it really snowed last night! Isn’t it wonderful? Everything familiar has disappeared! The world looks brand new!
A new year … a fresh, clean start! It’s like having a big white sheet of paper to draw on! A day full of possibilities! It’s a magical world, Hobbes, ol’ buddy … let’s go exploring!” — Bill Watterson (It’s a Magical World (Calvin and Hobbes #11))
I totally forgot to take photos of the snow today…getting so used to it…so all I have is a pic of the snow already packed down on the deck. I LOVE waking up to a coat of snow when all the ugliness of winter is covered in a bright clean white sheet. It’s exciting, and magical! But, not for everyone. I was humbled to help at a soup kitchen, providing a warm meal for many with no means, and no warm home to go to. Grateful for food, warmth, shelter, family, love. Grateful to those who help selflessly day after day providing for those in need.
