“Be the change that you wish to see in the world.” – Mahatma Gandhi
Such beautiful sunset light reflected over the river in late winter. I have absolutely no idea where the time has gone, but March is here in full swing, and I last posted on February 10! Once again, I have felt overwhelmed with a ton of stuff (mostly what’s going on in my head), and not particularly grateful, yet every day I have found things to be grateful for. So, I am not going to catch up with every day, but am going to try and be consistent going forward, since ‘consistency’ is my word for the year. So far, I do not think I have been very consistent, but I am hoping that if I repeat it often enough, it will become true. I am grateful for Lent, so I can reflect on how totally unChristian I mostly am, and reset to be the best that I can be. I am following a couple of Lent devotions, and one I particularly like is a single word a day. Today’s word was ‘Light’, which is perfectly appropriate. Let your eyes see the light of Jesus in everyone, and everything – the beauty of creation, and be a shining light for all those around who, especially those who may be battling in the darkness. Be the light and change you would like to see in the world.
