Overnight successes are generally years in the making. And most progress is made in isolation, far from the public eye. – Andrew Yang
Once again, although my 2020 keyword is consistency – I have been far from consistent. My last post was March 10…and it is now April 1. Yup, April fools. I have not seen many jokes around this year – mostly owing to the circumstances, which are strange to say the least. Coronovirus has us (mostly) all at home in isolation. This can either be a good thing, or…a bad thing. With the situation as it is, it doesn’t look as though this is going to get too much better too quickly, so we may as well get used to the situation we are in. But, that is easier said than done. When businesses are closed, how are they supposed to pay their staff, pay their rent, earn an income? What are they supposed to do. The longer it lasts, the worse the economic situation….not least to say the impact on the health care system. Never in a million years did anyone imagine this would have such a great impact on EACH and EVERY ONE of us! No one in this entire world will not be affected. Unreal. Unimaginable. And yet, in the midst of it we can find gratitude. So, here is to consistency. Today I am grateful to still be able to work out at home in my basement to a live stream. I am also grateful that I have actually done this consistently for 3 weeks in a row! Here’s to exhaustion after a workout that clears the cobwebs and anxiety, helping us to see clearer and with more positivity. Here is to progress in isolation – may we slowly and quietly build our success.
