“A birth-date is a reminder to celebrate the life as well as to update the life.” – Amit Kalantri, Wealth of Words
Today was a remarkable birth date for me. For one, it was during quarantine – so just Expert2 and I. I also woke up to special message from our gorgeous girls, so far, but still so near! My heart is full. My celebrations started pretty early with a key-lime tart all to myself (only because Expert2 is gluten free, and I didn’t make it – it was a real treat) topped with birthday candles. My celebrations continued through the day with special messages from around the world, and a zoom-tea party with special friends, brought together by the circumstances of life. I am trying my best to really celebrate life, all the little moments, because they are a gift, and they are special. I am also in the process of updating my life, and what better place to make a public declaration. I have decided that as I embark on my 50th circle around the sun that by this time next year I will be in the best shape of my life. Gray hair, wrinkles, scars – all there to tell a tale. And hopefully, along my journey I will share my joy and encourage others to do the same. Grateful that my true joy is returning and I am ready to make my updates. Here is to celebrating life – all the good and all the bad, but each moment precious.
