What birds can have their bills more peculiarly formed than the ibis, the spoonbill, and the heron? – Alfred Russel Wallace

Every afternoon since we have been home we have been out walking the dog along the river. It has been a chance to de-gas from the day and get a change of scenery. We have watched the season change from winter to spring to summer, and with it the flora and fauna that have emerged. Today we got to see a heron fishing. It is amazing to think that we live in an urbanized area, but there is still wildlife flourishing after considerable conservation efforts. Grateful for this respite each day.
