“Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole.” – Roger A. Caras

It has been quite some time since I last shared a moment here, and I’ve realized how easily the rhythm of daily life can pull us away from the very practices that keep us grounded. After this long absence, I found myself needing a gentle nudge to return to a state of thankfulness and to rediscover the microjoys that exist in the quiet corners of my home. Looking into these soulful eyes (because I am was leaving for work) today was exactly the reminder I needed; even when the world feels overwhelming or I feel I’ve lost my spark, the simple, steady presence of the furkids brings me back to the present. Today, I am simply grateful for this quiet companion and the wagging tail that insists on finding joy in every single moment.
