When you go on a road trip, the trip itself becomes part of the story. Steve Rushin
This was a fun little outing for a Saturday morning. Since we have limited time together as we know it, with a move and new college life ahead of us, Nic and I have been planning to tick a few things off our bucket lists. A road trip to New Hope was one. So, in the pouring rain, we set out early in the morning to catch breakfast. The rain abated, leaving the Delaware River swollen and flooding. But it did not deter us. We parked in the quaint little town of New Hope, Pennsylvania, and wandered around, crossing the bridge back to Lambertville, New Jersey, where we had breakfast, and then explored some more. We even got to stand with a foot in each state at the same time in the middle of the bridge. We ended up in the garden of this three (rickety) floor antique store filled with angels and gargoyles, and everything in between….but it gave me a glimpse of the beauty that surrounded us. Everyday, it is easy to find something that makes your heart sing. I am sure that this house was built on this very location because something made the builder’s heart sing about the beautiful view! What a fun day!
