Chains do not hold a marriage together. It is threads, hundreds of tiny threads, which sew people together through the years. Simone Signoret
This is the first anniversary that we have celebrated 10,000 miles apart, but considering what the 23 years have held it is a celebration indeed! It was nostalgic in every sense of the word! I am visiting my aging dad who was only 8 years older than I am now at my wedding, which made me think even more about truly living each day to its fullest, because time waits for no one! In the retirement home where my dad is, I also had the opportunity to reminisce with my photographer and dressmaker, sharing laughter and joy and the importance of institutions like marriage, and each little stick keeping it together! It was an anniversary to remember!
