You can see the pure joy in my face, the joy of having accomplished a goal, the joy of experiencing the ups and downs along the way and the personal growth that came with it, the joy of not rushing through, and noticing the small things along the way…the early morning sunrises, the ice covered river, the intense cold of mid winter, the deep moans of the ice cracking, the slow thaw with the onset of spring, the bird song starting up along the way, the landscape changing from browns to greens, the busy activity of the squirrels, the geese and ducks and their growing families, with each and every step, the presence of the Almighty Creator.
