What fun to see Girlchild1 in the flesh doing her summer job as a kayak tour guide to La Jolla coves….Expert2 and myself could not get onto one of her tours as we had hoped, so we did the next best thing and hired a double kayak and followed (note: not stalked!) her and her group around…nonchalantly pretending to having a little paddle out in the ocean. We were, however, reprimanded over the loud speakers by the life guards for entering a swim zone…luckily girlchild was far away enough not to be publically humiliated by her parents! We did try as much as possible to remain incognito!!! Summer equals fun….at the beach, in the ocean, even if you are working.
