Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Melody Beattie
After about six weeks of being off the grid, I arrived home, and home to this beautiful bunch of roses…in a vase and arranged. I think the most care ever. I am grateful for the time-out as it were, and grateful to be home. So much has happened, and I have had such an amazing experience with three weeks in Alaska. When I have eventually got it all together, I will post some of the amazing pictures. Although the photos do not do the state justice in any way, it is just so vast, remote and stunningly beautiful.
I have still been processing all that has happened this year, and it has taken me a while to get to a place of daily gratitude again…not that I have not been grateful, but I have had to realize that I am grateful.
I took the time to reflect on a new chapter going forward, and to close the door on the chapter of my childhood behind me. I am grateful for the happy memories and family. I was able to accept where I am in this journey we call life, and managed to figure out some order going forward. I am grateful for being loved. Am looking forward to the making our house a home and all the exciting new adventures ahead!
