I love hearts, so my eye is naturally drawn to them, and yet somehow I missed these. I walk past them nearly everyday at work, and have never noticed them before. There are alternative crosses and hearts in the bannister rail. And, when you peep through, there is a beautiful surprise of a stained glass window. There are lots of things in this world that I don’t understand, but if you look carefully enough there are beautiful surprises everywhere! I am amazed at the thought, workmanship, and careful detail that went into building this beautiful church 175 years ago!
