“Unless there is a Good Friday in your life, there can be no Easter Sunday.”
― Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen
Especially when we cannot go out, it is important to remember that Jesus died on the cross for us on this Good Friday. One of the things that we have always taken for granted is hot cross buns, until we couldn’t just get them from the store. And, since they don’t seem to be a tradition here, we made our own to mark the end of Lent. The cross is to remind us of the crucifixion of Jesus, and the spices used are symbolic of those used to embalm His body. The GF version was not even too bad! Grateful for this day, today and always that Jesus loves us so much that he died for us.
