“Fall has always been my favorite season. The time when everything bursts with its last beauty, as if nature had been saving up all year for the grand finale.” – Lauren DeStefano, Wither
With such beautiful balmy weather, and the promise of icy winds on the horizon, we decided to go on a little road trip in the search of a historic cider mill that is still in operation after 100 years. Our little trip did not disappoint, and even though it was rushed, it was refreshing. The colors are just beginning to turn, and there were beautiful surprises around each corner. It was so nice to have a change of scenery from the four walls that merge from work to home to studying to work to home to studying all the time. Fall allows us to wallow in the last warmth of the summer, gently surrounding us in the warm glows of yellows, oranges, and reds. It certainly has been such a weird six months with Covid, that a normal change of season is actually really nice. Nothing that anyone has planned has happened this year, and we have all had to adjust to new normals and new ways of living. So, a little normal with the change of season reminded me that life is a continuing cycle, and that we will all be okay in the end. Maybe different, but okay.
