We will be more successful in all our endeavors if we can let go of the habit of running all the time, and take little pauses to relax and re-center ourselves. And we’ll also have a lot more joy in living. Thich Nhat Hanh
I have taken time to stop running in everyday life…not really out of choice, but circumstance, with being a newly inducted emptynester, and have taken up my favorite hobby of actual running again! These daily pauses have helped me relax and recenter myself, and truly find myself again. I always thought this finding yourself stuff was poo-poo, but it is really a thing! I have also rediscovered my joy! It has helped to have goals, like the marathon I signed up for in December. As part of my training, I have to do some half marathons…and this one perfectly coincided with my plan….and it was on the island – the Rock CF Rivers Half Marathon. This is half number two for the year…am on a roll! What a glorious start….God shining blessings through! I am grateful to be alive, and to be able to run, especially for those who can’t.
