‘I am happy that I ran the half-marathon, but to me, just running and saying that I finished a race isn’t enough for me. I want to run the race as best as I can. Working out for pants size isn’t enough. I need a goal or a race to get back on the treadmill every day.’ – Drew Carey
I am so happy that I finished the half, and in the time that I took! I haven’t been as dedicated to training as I could have, as I have felt completely overwhelmed with this race. But, raising money for a charity did get me out there to do the very best that I could, and to make my family proud! It was worth every step of the way. It was a hugely emotional race for me, and I felt totally overwhelmed in some places, but there was such great support and camaraderie along the entire route. I witnessed the most spectacular sunrise from the middle of the Ambassador Bridge, and ran a race in two different countries. What an exciting experience!
